I seem to be in a bit of a quandary (admittedly with myself), which is nothing new. I'm wrestling with my scientific thinking and my theological beliefs. I believe in God and also that the Bible is God's word (albeit transcribed by man.) My problem, (and I stress this may be my problem), is how do I explain things/events not mentioned in the Bible. There is quite a bit Earth history, unaccounted for, which is undeniable. How can I dismiss these things/events, unless the Bible is merely a history of man's relationship with God. Still, I know that God is God. But if I had the opportunity, I would want to ask: "What happened in the times before Adam & Eve? Am I wrong in thinking this way?

While trying to get a pic of the full moon (a huge gamble for lacanthopes like me), I noticed this second object hovering in the sky slightly above and to the right of the moon. I took the second photo without a flash, as this object was quite bright. While I 'm not a fan of UFO,s that's the only way I can explain it. No sound, no blinking lights, no movement other than the fact that shortly after the photo it disappeared completely. Unfortunately neither of these photos have the detail I was looking for, I REALLY need a telephoto lense.

As I,ve recently purchased a digital camera,(my first one) thought I 'd try my hand at posting a few pics. This area is known as as "Kelly's Ford" on the river near where I live. My friend John and I spent many hours fishing in the area. While many people think the ford is near the rapids in the first picture, it is actually located just below the small sand island in the second. It was actually a pontoon bridge, used most notably during the Battle of Brandy Staion.

As I,m just starting to blog, I,m not sure what or when I'll be posting. Today I'm currrently watching the documentary "Raising the Mammoth." Basically it tells the story of a fully intact mammoth discovered in Siberia and the scientists efforts to recover it. However, besides trying to free it for basic scientific reseach into the mammoth's environment and how it lived, some scientists are hoping to recover intact DNA strands for, you guessed it, cloning a mammoth. If they're unable to do that, they hope to use the DNA, and by crossing it time and time again with modern elephants' DNA, create a nearly 100% mammoth. I,m not sure I like this idea. Much like the dinosaurs in "Jurrasic Park", mammoths went extinct for a reason. Even today, scientists are reintroducing known species back into environments from which they have disappeared, sometimes with drastic conscequences.
